Big Bend Technical College (BBTC) is a public, district-operated, postsecondary Career and Technical Education (CTE) Technical College. BBTC offers 13 CTE programs that enable students to earn certificates of completion in CTE clock hour programs and applicable industry certifications and/or licenses.
All of BBTC's instructors are certified teachers with business and industry experience who all hold the relevant industry certifications and/or state licenses for their subject matter.

Scholarships
The Financial Aid offered at BBTC consists of the Title IV Federal Pell Grant, Florida Bright Futures Scholarship, BBTC private and community scholarships and assistance for targeted populations. Financial aid infomation can be found online at www.fastweb.com or www.finaid.org.
Students who wish to apply for Financial Aid must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) worksheet. Students must go online to www.fafsa.ed.gov. (Students are welcome to come in to the Student Services Office and complete the application online).
BBTC offers scholarships to those that qualfy. Students may request a scholarship form in the Student Services Office. All graduating dual enrolled seniors are awarded a $250 scholarship.
Additionally, CareerSource North Forida offers tuition assistance to many BBTC CTE programs. Students should call (850) 973-9675 for information and/or to make an appointment with a CSNF counselor.
The Division of Vocational Rehabilitation also offers assitiance in tution to individuals that quilify. Contact Joe Rapisardo at (850)245-3440 for information.

Students 16 years or older are eligible to apply for admission to many of BBTC’s programs (some programs require the student to be 18 years old).

Admissions Policy
Students who attended other accredited technical colleges may submit copies of their records at the time of application. Records are reviewed by the Student Serives Director in conjunction with individual instructors to determine if clock hours can be transferred.
Most Career and Technical Education (CTE) Certificate Programs have enrollment (start times) opportunities in August and again in January. The exceptions are Practical Nursing, Professional Nursing (LPN-RN Bridge) and Patient Care Technician which are lockstep programs that have fall enrollment (start times) only. Registration for fall courses opens in April (April – July) and registration for spring courses opens in October (October- December).
Tuition must be paid in full or deferred by the Financial Aid Adminstrator by July 23, 2024.
Fall Term fees and tutition must be paid and/or deferred by the Fiancial Aid Administrator by July 23, 2024.
