Everglades University undergraduates complete one class per month, allowing a student to concentrate on one subject along with daily demands.  Graduate degree programs can complete one or two classes within a two-month time period.

The small classes at Everglades University provide greater interaction between you and the faculty.  Additionally, you will never have to be concerned with scheduling classes, as it is built for you until graduation.

Everglades University is a Yellow Ribbon program participant for the Post 9/11 GI Bill (R) and is an active supporter of the Principles of Excellence and Department of Defense Memorandum of Understanding (DODMOU). In some cases, credit can also be awarded for specialized military training.

Financial aid is available to meet the difference between a personal student’s resources and his/her actual needs. Everglades University maintains a full-time Financial Services Department at each campus and students are encouraged to make appointments with a Financial Services Administrator to ensure that they obtain the funding needed for their University investment.

Everglades University uses the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to document and collect information used in determining a student’s eligibility for financial aid. You must complete your FAFSA Applications online at www.fafsa.ed.gov.

Everglades University is an institution eligible to participate in Federal Title IV financial aid programs. Everglades University is also approved to participate in the Florida State Grant and Scholarship Programs

Scholarships

Everglades University Offers a variety of scholarships ranging from academic to financial for students who meet the criteria set by the University. Recipients must be enrolled in a bachelor or master’s program.

Outside private scholarships are awarded to students who meet the specific criteria of the scholarship benefactors. Scholarship committees usually choose scholarship recipients who have high grade point averages, large financial need and/or superior academic quantities.

Everglades University follows a Competitive Admissions policy. Acceptance depends on the number and qualifications of those who apply for admission for a given term.
Transfer Policies

For students enrolling at Everglades University, transfer credits will be subject to approval by the University. These courses must be similar in content and duration to those offered in the program for which the student has applied. The University will consider unofficial transcripts, but official transcripts must be mailed directly from other institutions to Everglades University in order to be officially transferred. Electronic transcripts from a recognized service such as Electronic Transcript Exchange/ National Student Clearinghouse, Parchment, Transcripts Network, etc. received by the Registrar Department are considered official. Students are responsible for having official transcripts sent to Everglades University from transfer institutions. Official transcripts should be received by Everglades University within the student’s first semester

The admissions policies of Everglades University were developed to ensure that all students have a reasonable expectation to complete their chosen degrees.  Applicants should demonstrate to the University both the ability and motivation to succeed.  An Admissions Counselor will assist and guide you, from beginning to end, in all aspects of the admissions process.  The University uses a rolling admissions policy, with new courses starting each month.

Everglades University offers 24 degree programs, all of which are available through distance learning.
Enrollment Procedures

Submit an application on the EU website.  Local applicants are encouraged to visit the University in person.

Admissions Offices are open Monday through Thursday, 9:00am - 8:00pm; Friday, 9:00am- 5:00pm; and Saturday, 9:00am-5:00pm and by appointment.

With degree programs in innovative disciplines such as Alternative Medicine, Construction Management, Aviation/Aerospace, Sustainability, Crisis and Disaster Management, Hospitality, Business, you can choose an online degree program that is best for you. Graduates of the degree programs earn the same course credits and degrees as those students who complete equivalent courses and programs on campus.

Advising

Academic Advisors are available to you in person, via phone, or online.  During your academic advisory meetings, you will discuss your schedule, progress reports, grade point average, and attendance. Your Academic Advisor will help to assist you in reaching your academic goals and aspirations.

As a student at Everglades University, you will never have to be concerned with scheduling classes or needing a class that may not be offered in a particular semester. Everglades University’s “no hassle” approach to scheduling means that we build your entire schedule until graduation. You will not have to go through the aggravation of standing in long lines to register for class or obtain your class materials.

Furthermore, your schedule will reflect only the classes necessary for your degree. You will not have to experience registering for an unnecessary class or encounter gaps in your schedule. An accurate schedule tailored to your degree program allows you to graduate as quickly as possible.

Non-Traditional Student

Everglades University courses are concentrated, with a semester of knowledge learned in 4 weeks.  One course at a time and small class size, and the availability of courses online help students organize outside commitments around their studies.  

Each campus has a designated veteran’s school official to help our Veterans throughout their program and assist them with their VA
Benefits and other questions they may have.  Several EU campuses have a lounge available to provide support with veteran affairs.  4 week schedules also accomidate active millitary when being deployed, allowing students finish.

Everglades University offers students a free live, online tutoring service to connect to live educators from any computer that has Internet access, with no special software installation or equipment required (available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week).

Everglades University assists students in finding a career upon graduation, providing career development skills tips on resume writing.

Everglades University believes that speakers from the business and professional world in which graduates will be entering can enhance students’ education. Guest lecturers are invited to speak to students on a variety of relevant subjects.  Additionally, special courses, workshops and seminars may be held throughout the year for various interest groups including business and industry.
