In addition to studying at nation’s the No. 5 public university with some of the world’s leading faculty, University of Florida students will now be part of an $80 million artificial intelligence initiative in which UF will incorporate AI across the curriculum. The initiative includes a commitment from UF to hire 100 more faculty members focused on AI. They will join 500 new faculty recently added across disciplines -- many of whom will weave AI into their teaching and research. UF is also home to HiPerGator AI, recently ranked one of the world’s most powerful supercomputers.

With a highly diverse student body representing all 50 states and more than 130 countries, UF also offers over 1,000 student groups, more than 120 undergraduate majors and more than 250 graduate degree programs, giving students the opportunity to thrive academically and socially in almost any way imaginable.

Florida is one of just two programs to win at least one national team championship in every completed season from 2008–09 through 2024–25, claiming 28 titles during that span.The Gator program claimed the 2025-26 USA Today Network Southeastern Conference All-Sports Trophy after leading the league with four team titles. Sixteen Gator programs have claimed 49 national team titles – that array is the fourth highest in the nation and leads any team east of the Mississippi River. Since 1965, the University of Florida has earned 180 Academic All-America honors. Florida is also the only school to rank in the top 10 of the national all-sports standings every year since 1983–84. Since 1972, 240 Gators have represented 52 countries across 20 Olympic Games. Current and former Florida athletes have won 157 Olympic medals, including 75 gold. At the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, a program-record 39 current and former Gator athletes represented 20 countries and won 11 medals, including four gold.
