Additional Information

Nearly 4,500 students study on our main campus in Melbourne, Florida. Additionally, many more students are enrolled at off campus sites and in online programs offered by the university. Our largest college is the College of Engineering and Science, accounting for about 64% of full-time undergraduate students. Our student body is active, with virtually all on-campus students participating in one of approximately 140 clubs and organizations. From Greek life, theater and cultural organizations to honor societies, philanthropic groups and athletic clubs, there’s something for everyone. Some students get involved with Residence Life, some join academic teams and some work at The Crimson, our student-run newspaper, but all relentlessly pursue their passions in and out of the classroom. Panthers are ambitious, innovative and always ready for whatever comes next.

What is Florida Tech willing to invest in your undergraduate education? More than you may know. University aid comes in the form of merit-based academic scholarships, Florida Tech Family Grants, and need-based grants.

Your complete application for admission to full-time undergraduate study at the university's Melbourne campus is your application for most available merit-based scholarship opportunities. There is no separate application to be considered for merit-based aid, but you may need to include certain documentation with your application. Please make sure to provide all the necessary materials.

Transfer Policies

Applicants to Florida Tech must demonstrate readiness to succeed in a challenging academic curriculum. Transcripts are the most important element of the application. Students must indicate a readiness for college studies in a chosen academic program. Transfer applicants must provide official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended.

It's National Decision Day! Like most colleges and universities in the U.S., Florida Tech subscribes to the College Board candidates' reply-by date of May 1. Admitted students must confirm their intent to enroll by logging on to Panther Pass and submitting a nonrefundable $300 tuition deposit (if accepted prior to April 1). Students admitted after April 1 are asked to submit a tuition deposit within 30 days of the date on their acceptance letter.

$40 standardized testing fee for undergraduate business and MBA students in their capstone course

Additional Information

Associate’s and bachelor’s degrees in aviation management, business, computer information systems, and psychology and master’s degrees in business and psychology are offered in 8-week terms through the Florida Tech Online programs.

In addition, Florida Tech offers 28 graduate degrees in business, space systems and technology through the Virtual Education Center. Courses are held in 16-week semesters and an 11-week summer semester.

Also offered online on semester schedules are a master's degree and graduate certificate programs in applied behavior analysis (ABA) and master's and doctoral degrees in aviation

Advising

Most first-time freshmen are served by advisors in the First Year Experience (FYE) Office, which assists students with their academic and social transitions to Florida Tech. After working with an FYE advisor, the student transitions to an appointed faculty advisor in the academic department.

Florida Tech Online undergraduates have dedicated student success coaches who work exclusively with online students.

Non-Traditional Student

Florida Tech provides distance learning students with student services such as advising and access to the library, academic support services, and the bookstore, all tailored to meet the needs of online students. Student ID cards are available to distance education students.

Getting involved in campus activities is the best way for our students to get the most out of college life. With approximately 140 student organizations, students will find a great fit for themselves. Florida Tech is home to an Esports program, thriving residence life, engaged volunteers, and a lot more. Florida Tech has eleven national Greek-letter fraternities and sororities, which offer ample opportunities to develop leadership skills and form friendships that last a lifetime. Our Exam Jam, Test Fest, Welcome Weeks, and International Festival are highlights of student events. Featuring live music, games, comedy and so much more, these different events enhance school spirit and bring students together. Florida Tech also offers a full sports program, with our athletes competing in NCAA Division II. Florida Tech’s recreational sports program includes intramural sports, club sports and outdoor adventures. There’s an activity for everyone on the Florida Tech campus!

Florida Tech welcomes students who have previously attended the university and left in good academic standing.
Admissions/Re-Admissions Instructions
Reapplication is necessary if away from the university for two years (four or more consecutive full-length semesters or 12 or more 8-week terms) or if another institution is attended during an absence from the university.
Financial Aid
Previous financial aid packages for returning students are null and void. Students must file the FAFSA for the academic year in which they wish to return. A new financial aid package will be produced after admission and receipt of current FAFSA.
