The CFK Foundation was established to support The College of the Florida Keys' students, programs and services by providing scholarships to CFK students through the support of private donors and public agencies. Criteria for awards differ for each scholarship and may be based on financial need, grade point average, essay submissions, leadership, and character. Please see the lists below for available opportunities.
Applicants must have completed the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) three weeks prior to application deadline and must upload their most recent high school or college transcript into their application packet.

The Associate in Arts degree is designed primarily to meet the requirements for a student to transfer to the upper division level of college or university to continue to work toward a bachelor’s degree.
For undergraduate admission to a state university, students must have earned two years of sequential foreign language at the high school level, or complete (with passing grades) at least two semesters at a previous college or university (as required by Florida Statute 240.233).
Course requirements may change each year. You are responsible and encouraged to work closely with your advisor.

CFK is an open-access institution (excluding the following programs: nursing, public safety, apprenticeship, bachelor's degrees, and Project ACCESS), which means that students need only a high school diploma, GED or home school affidavit to enroll. Enrollment is open at CFK —allowing students the flexibility to apply and register for any term: fall, spring, or summer.

Distance Learning (as of 2023)
Registration for college credit courses takes place in person at any of our campuses or you can log in to your myCFK account and enroll online.
No distance learning fee.
The College of the Florida Keys Distance Learning students enjoy the independence of online classes with the personal attention of dedicated teachers and support staff. CFK students are able to earn an A.A. degree completely online using the Canvas course management system.

The College of the Florida Keys publishes Distance Learning courses on the FloridaShines Course Catalog. Students enrolled in other Florida public institutions can start registration as transient students directly from the catalog.
