At a Glance

Florida Southern College, the oldest private college in Florida, was founded in Orlando in 1883 as South Florida Institute. It is ranked as one of the top 210 universities in the South by U.S News & World Report and was named a top producer of Fulbright U.S. students for the past two years. The college opened its newly constructed Campisi Academic Center for Physical Therapy in fall 2019, and dedicated both the Carol Jenkins Barnett Center for Early Childhood Learning and Health and the Lamar Louise Curry Education Center in February 2020. FSC also has broken ground on the Carole and Marcus Weinstein Computer Sciences Center, as well as a middle-school expansion of the Roberts Academy, Florida’s only school for children with dyslexia.

The guaranteed internship program further ensures that each student has the opportunity to apply classroom concepts in a real-world environment while gaining valuable job experience.
