Financial Aid (Pell Grant) and Scholarships:

Lake Technical College’s Financial Aid Office staff is available to assist students. Grants and scholarships are available and do not have to be repaid. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). This application is available online.

Some programs offered are eligible for VA benefits. The Bureau of State Approving Agency for Veteran Training has approved some of the certificate training programs offered at LTC. 

Cost of attendance:

Lake Technical College does not have on-campus housing. The housing costs provided are estimates of living in the surrounding area.

Lake Technical College follows an Open Admissions policy. Test scores and/or GPA are not factors in the admissions decision. A high school diploma or GED certificate is required.

Let's get started! Lake Technical College is a public postsecondary institution which accepts applications on a nondiscriminatory basis from anyone having the interest, ability, and desire to benefit from career and technical education programs. To assist students in meeting their goals, there are minimum age, educational, and health requirements established for each program. In addition to career and technical training programs, we offer Adult Basic Education classes, GED preparation classes, and Adult ESOL classes. Lake Tech also offers dual enrollment programs through articulation agreements with Lake & Sumter County Schools.

Additional Deadlines Information

Lake Technical College's programs are mainly open entry, which means enrollment occurs throughout the school year. However, some LTC programs have specific application periods and students start as a cohort - Programs such as Practical Nursing, Law Enforcement, Emergency Medical Technician to name a few. Our career advisors are happy to assist you with any stage of the enrollment process! Seating is limited and individuals are encouraged to complete the enrollment process early.
