NWF offers affordable tuition that is among the lowest in Florida, and a selection of more than 1,000 courses offered each term including day, evening, weekend, online and more.


NWF’s academic and technical programs are recognized with regional and national accreditations. NWF has also been recognized nationally among the top 10 percent of the nation’s community colleges by the Aspen Institute College Excellence Program.

Northwest Florida State College’s student body comprises a variety of people of all ages and from all walks of life. They include high school graduates going directly to college, those in the military, retired persons reorienting their lives, and people who are changing careers or returning to the workforce.

The college strives to provide students with a balance of liberal arts, technical training, and adult studies. Scholarships

Distance Learning (as of 2024)

Enrollment Procedures

There are no specialized enrollment procedures for distance learning courses at NWF. Students enroll as they would in any other course. Find an online course - https://www.nwfsc.edu, click Class Search, select “Online” as the Instructional Method.

Distance Learning Fees

There is a $15 per credit hour fee for distance learning courses offered at NWF. Some online classes may include a proctored element and students might incur an additional charge if a remote proctoring service is used.

Additional Information

Northwest Florida State College offers students the convenience and flexibility of earning course credits through our online campus so students may take control of their own education by working and learning at times and places convenient to them. We offer fully online Bachelor and Associate degrees including an accredited online R.N. to B.S.N. Program (with a guided clinical component) for Florida licensed Registered Nurses. Additional Information

Northwest Florida State College competes in four separate sports: men's basketball, women's basketball, baseball, and softball.  Both basketball programs are consistently ranked as some of the best in our NJCAA national poll and certainly stand as two of the most elite programs within the state.  Our baseball and softball programs are also regularly ranked in our statewide polls and also remain highly competitive.
