Since 1962, Pinellas Technical College has offered students first-rate career and technical education on both our Clearwater and St. Petersburg campuses. Pinellas Technical College’s emphasis is on post-secondary education, focusing on over 40 exciting career areas and nearly 60 programs.
Each campus is individually accredited by the Council on Occupational Education, and PTC has been a leader in providing career and technical education via distance learning. We are committed to providing quality educational opportunities to meet our students’ needs and the needs of business and industry.

Distance Learning (as of 2025)
PTC has been a leader in providing career and technical education via distance learning. All of our programs are offered online, hybrid, or traditionally with an online component.

Most of our programs start five times per school year: August, October, January, March/April, and June.
The per-clock-hour tuition and other fees for distance learning classes are the same as for all other PTC classes; however, each student is responsible for the hardware, software programs and keyboarding skills as required for their chosen program.
Pinellas Technical College's Distance Learning department offers classes and programs via the Internet. Online learning offers a flexible, convenient format while maintaining the same standards of instructional quality you will find in our traditional programs. In addition, all online programs have the same accreditation, transfer, articulation and financial aid eligibility as traditional programs.
Pinellas Technical College's Online Learning program is a suite of both web-based and software-driven online classes.
