The Financial Aid Services office at SCF is committed to helping students obtain needed financial assistance. Students may be eligible for grants, scholarships, work-study and loans. More information is available on their web site at: www.scf.edu/FinancialAid.
Scholarships can reward you for academic excellence, talent and achievement in a variety of areas, such as the arts or athletics. Scholarships are not always based on financial need. Best of all, they don't need to be repaid. Scholarships include Florida Bright Futures Scholarships, SCF Foundation Scholarships, and a variety of scholarships to applicants meeting specific requirements. Criteria, amounts and application processes for scholarships vary depending on the scholarship. Most scholarships require an application and possibly an essay. You are encouraged to research and apply for all scholarships you may qualify for. It is advisable to complete the FAFSA when applying for scholarships. You may be eligible for scholarships based on financial need.

Whether you're seeking to earn a career-ready degree or make a smooth transition to a university, State College of Florida provides the full college experience at exceptional savings:

- 4-year bachelor's degrees
A $20 admissions application fee will be assessed for applicants. When an applicant enrolls in courses for the term in which they indicated on their admissions application, the fee will be refunded to the applicant. To receive the refund, applicants must meet two qualifications: 1) Register for courses in their selected term of entry, as indicated on their application, and; 2) Maintain attendance and registration in the courses past the add/drop registration period. Failure to adhere to the above statements will result in the loss of the application fee.

Distance Learning (as of 2023)
Anyone wishing to attend SCF who has not taken courses before needs to apply to the college first. Visit www.scf.edu under the admissions tab for more information and to view our online schedule with our 160 online classes in 31 different programs.
SCF Charges no additional fees for any online or blended course. We are one of only 4 public colleges and universities in Florida that do not charge any fee for any distance learning class.
Online learning at SCF is offered in a variety of academic programs. The courses cover the same material as on-campus equivalents, but the work is completed through the use of a computer, without coming to campus. Online learning enables you to:
- Take one or more online courses in combination with courses offered in a face-to-face environment to complete degree requirements.
- Complete the majority of a degree in specific programs completely online.
- Access class information and turn in assignments from home or work.
- Have a direct connection to online instructors and advisors to assist you with your online course needs.
