Admissions Policy
Any person 16 years of age or older, who is officially withdrawn from the K-12 program, is eligible to enroll in South Dade Technical College. Any individual with special needs applying for admission is referred to Vocational Rehabilitation or other appropriate agencies. These agencies work closely with South Dade Technical College to determine when an individual is ready to be accepted for admission into a Career Technical Education Program. The focus is to guide students based on their interests, aptitudes and abilities to attain their full potential.

The focus of the department of student services is to guide students based on their interests, aptitudes and abilities to attain their full potential. In addition, the institution embraces the multicultural diversity of the community and its representations at the institution. The institution ensures that each student benefits from equal access to education.
The department of student services maintains qualified personnel who work conjunctively with the instructors, students, parents, community members and administrators to ensure that students are guided toward career paths that will enable them to become responsible and productive citizens of the community.

Welcome to South Dade Technical College (SDTC). Our technical college offers eight (8) Career & Technical Education programs. Many of these trainng programs can be completed in less than a year. SDTC creates opportunities for student success and prepare them to make maximum earning potential in their industry of choice. We have world class instructors who bring years of industry experience into the classroom setting, cultivating the minds of the students they service. Customer service and an experience of excellence is evident with our school support personnel. It is our goal to ensure all students have a professional and memorable experience when they enter the doors of South Dade Technical College.
