Florida SouthWestern State College has provided higher education opportunities to Lee, Charlotte, Collier, Hendry and Glades counties for over 60 years. In that time, FSW has elevated opportunities for 64,688 graduates and 21,048 workers who have upskilled with continuing education. FSW offers bachelor’s and associate degrees and college credit certificates.

Today, the college is a dynamic, multi-campus institution and is a nationally-recognized leader in innovative education. In 2022, FSW established the Rist Cyber Institute along with new, cutting-edge cybersecurity and information technology programs that will keep Southwest Florida’s workforce up-to-date with today’s ever-changing technology and cybersecurity needs.

Additional Information

Athletics returned to FSW in the 2015-2016 academic year.  The College currently sponsors volleyball, basketball, and softball for women and baseball and basketball for men. Both basketball teams and volleyball play home games in the 3,300 seat Suncoast Credit Union Arena and baseball and softball will begin playing on their new on-campus all-artificial turf facility in the Spring of 2023. All teams have enjoyed tremendous success with multiple appearances in the NJCAA National Championship events, led by our softball team who won their second consecutive National Championship in May 2022.

Additional Information
Returning students who have lived in Florida for the last 12 months prior to the start of classes must complete the Florida Residency Declaration Form (www.fsw.edu/admissions/residency ) in order to receive in-state tuition. Returning students are also required to meet with their Student Success Advisor to develop an education plan.
