Admissions Policy
Southeastern University follows a Competitive Admissions policy. Acceptance depends on the number and qualifications of those who apply for admission for a given term.
Transfer Policies

You are considered a transfer student if you have earned 12 or more credit hours directly from a college or university after high school graduation. These may be classes that you have taken on campus or online from a regionally accredited institution.

Any credits you have earned via AP, CLEP, or dual enrollment may also transfer to SEU in addition to those you plan to transfer from your prior college.

Transfer Credit Details

  • In order to receive your degree from Southeastern University, at least 25 percent of your classes must be earned from SEU.
  • SEU will accept courses if the credits were earned through a regionally accredited college or university nationwide including any institution that is part of the State of Florida school system
  • Course credit will transfer for grades of C- or higher
  • Up to 90 credit hours may transfer in for bachelor’s degree students. (Students earning an associate’s degree via our online or partner site deliveries may transfer up to 45 credit hours.)

Southeastern University offers more than 70 undergraduate degree programs, meaning you can pursue any career you want with a bachelor’s degree from SEU. But before you can begin pursuing your calling as an undergraduate student, you first have to apply and be accepted!

The first step in the admission process is to complete your application using our convenient online application. Once you have completed the application, you will be provided with more steps needed for acceptance that are specific to your program, such as letters of recommendation, test scores, essays, etc. Your admission counselor can answer specific questions regarding your admission status and any incomplete steps.
